Home Safe, Pictures to follow

I have to charge my battery on the camera. The pictures will come tomorrow. We made it home after getting to the airport to late, my children will be happy to know we were there a half hour before lift off! We couldn't take one suitcase. We didn't get to seats together. Let me start for the beginning. We left Chris and the baby at church at 11:00 or so. We then went and got gas in the car and headed to Dallas. A three hour drive. Our flight left at 4:26pm We stopped in Tyler, Texas for lunch at Wendy's and then a short walk for and ice cream cone at Dairy Queen. Off again and a quick stop at the rest area. My hands were to sticky to drive! Then on to Dallas. Where did the time go? We filled up the rental car and arrived at the rental car return around 3:30pm Then the bus to the gates. Well we were to late to sign in by ourselves. Then we didn't get seats together. No biggy, to late to check luggage. They were boarding. Not a problem. Everything is close in Dallas. We hurry to the gate and to our surprise no one had moved. There was an announcement. That they had to get us a new plane. Then our flight was cancelled. Not to panic, they will get a new plane maybe, there are no empty seats out of Dallas to LA till Tuesday. Not to panic. Rick and I found a seat, laughed at the people freaking out. We talked to a pilot and his wife that were deadheading it back to LA. They were so funny. We decided they were trying to get all the dumb folks off the plane! They were the folks standing line that they were told not to stand in! They cancelled our flight, then found a plane, now how you lost it in the first place when it was already sitting there I don't know but.... When they found a plane then we had to check in. Now they told us they would do it by sections, like when you board. So first class would be first. Well all these people get up and the lady goes, Okay I know there are only 22 seats there should be only 22 people standing up in line. We just laughed. We ended up getting seats together and had an uneventful flight home. We were only an hour and a half late. Not bad for losing a plane! Thanks to Bethany, Tyler and Lisa for picking us us at the airport and thank goodness for cell phones. One of the good things that happened was I got to ask the pilot "Why do they board the first class folks first?" So we can bang them with our bags? He goes nope so they don't have to mingle with the common folk! He was laughing. He said that first class should be in the back because that is the safest place in the plane. He also thought that they will give them a drink and then they won't know what time we leave! Good times
