Football in the South

Yesterday we went to see the 7th and 8th grade football games at Chris's school. These are not anything like the middle school football games I have seen in California. First off they play at the high school. Second there is a doctor and police present. The stands are FULL.Next it's NOT, I repeat, NOT flag football. It's full on tackle football. You have to be in the 7th grade or 8th grade if you have been held back you may play on the team you should play on if not held back. There was the band, playing, pep squad, composed of 6th grade girls. Now from Chris's school there are 73 girls. Which is over half of the sixth grade girls. Then there are the cheerleaders, composed of 8th graders and then the dance line which is either 7th or 8th graders. Now you can't be on dance line or a cheerleader if you were not on pep squad your 6th grade year. Chris and another teacher are the sponsers of the pep squad. Nothing better than keeping track of 73 6th grade girls! First is the 7th grade game. We lost unfortunately lost 16 to 0. During half time the Benton Midddle school dance line performed. Then betweenthe 7th and 8th grade game our dance line performed. Then during the 8th grade game at half time our Cheerleaders performed. We won that game 6 to 0 due to steller defense! Due to another team having an illegal player we are undefeated. Good times. Today we went shopping, Emily pooped her pants, all is well in the world.

Wow, good times. That is even more sophisticated than my middle school and we have cheerleaders. We only play flag football though.
